iChaplaincy

offers a listening ear,
in confidence,
to all people,
whatever their beliefs,
via e-mail

It is an online initiative funded by the
Church of England
(Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham)
to provide support via e-mail.

iChaplaincy has evolved from the support already offered to businesses through the Workplace Chaplaincy Team.

The roles of both Workplace Chaplain and iChaplain are to complement an organisation's human resources department and counselling and welfare provision, where they exist, or providing a listening space where there are no other facilities.

These are some of the typical issues we can help people with in their workplaces:

  • bereavement

  • health concerns

  • relationship issues

  • loneliness

  • stress

  • redundancy

  • managing change

  • work/life balance

You can contact the iChaplain if you need someone to offer you:

  • experience

  • time

  • a listening ear

  • a place to bounce ideas off

  • practical advice at times of change

Please note this is not a professional counselling service. However, we can recommend professional counselling support if needed.

iChaplaincy works in partnership with the Workplace Chaplaincy Team, who offer face-to-face support to those in the workplace. Support through iChaplaincy is offered on a similar basis but via e-mail.

iChaplaincy evolved following requests to have e-mail conversations. Some people found that it was not easy to find the time at work to have a face-to-face conversation or their particular working circumstances just didn’t suit that mode of communication. iChaplaincy offers the anonymity some people prefer. So if you would find it easier to have a conversation via e-mail, then please click here to contact the iChaplain.
