If someone you love has died

Spend a moment thanking God
for a good memory you have of the person.

Remember those memories are yours to keep

If the memories are not so good, find someone to talk to - e-mail me

- and give yourself time and space to heal.

We pray for those who are left behind and ask that they know something of God’s peace in their lives, especially at this time. Thank you for the times spent together and for the memories that make up the sum of who we are. Life seems so empty, the days so grey and long. We miss them and don’t know where to turn – help us to see that this is temporary. We will always miss them but pray that God be with us now in this present moment, as we shed our tears and cope with the overwhelming space in our lives.

Keep believing in the greening, in the springtime of your heart.

I know that it feels as though I am far away from you but I am closer to you than your next breath.

On your discouraged days, remember that I yearn to fill your life with joy.
It will return to you in time.

On your days when you feel the ache will never go away, press your pain against me and know that I surround you with an everlasting love.

Draw your strength and energy from me. I will sustain you in this wintry dark time.
